Jim & Dustin’s simple style and clarity made a huge difference… Not overly technical and also not overbearing….”"Very important to me, is how responsive they are to my numerous questions via email – really over and above what they probably should be replying to!”"My daughter and I sit through the classes together and it’s fun.”

I found the Portrait Lighting Class to be very helpful. Each lesson was short and to the point, offering visual examples of the topic. I was able to get specific pointers to advance my skill. This class was well worth the investment of time and money. I would rate it a five, but felt some of the videos could have been more professional. Overall, I would recommend to anyone interested in advancing their portrait photography skill.

I got more than what I was expecting with the Portrait Lighting Class – I actually learned a lot about lighting in general as applied to photography. The learning curve is what really stands out about this class: The first few days the concepts are quite basic and newer more complex concepts are added gradually, allowing to build on the initial foundation. I also really enjoyed watching Jim and Dustin go through some live shoots – knowing what a pro set up should look like gave me confidence when doing my own shoots. In addition, improvephotography.com has a lot of additional and complimentary tips and articles.

Agree with Pamela above. Great course, well paced and informative. Only negative comment would be the quality of some of the videos which don’t reflect the overall professionalism of Improve Photography. Overall though, this doesn’t stop me recommending this course and the podcast. Thanks Jim.
