Dr. Glenn M. Cope, PPA Certified, Cr. Photog., API, F-PPO
Dr. Glenn Cope teaches photography and digital imaging at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Okla. He has taught at NOC for over 20 years. He established a major in Photography and Digital Imaging at NOC and teaches both traditional and digital imaging classes.
He and his wife Barbara operate a studio in Tonkawa, Okla. Dr. Cope has been involved in digital imaging and working with Photoshop for over fifteen years. He began integrating digital camera capture into the workflow in the winter of 2000-01 and reaching nearly 90 percent digital in May 2001. They are currently 100 percent digital.
Barbara has been involved in professional photography for the past 30 years assisting in various capacities in the studio. Barbara is a PPA Certified Professional Photographer and a Photographic Craftsman. She supervises the day-to-day operation of the studio and serves as the primary photographer for the studio. She began assisting in the studio as office manager and gradually took on photographic assignments.
Dr. Cope is a Past President for Professional Photographers of Oklahoma and serves on the PPO Board. He served on the PPA Continuing Education Committee, and was the chairman for 2003-06; he has served as the PPA Certification Liaison for Oklahoma since 1996. He was selected for the PPA Leadership Training Class of 2002-03. He completed PPA’s inaugural Approved Photographic Instructor Class held at the East Coast School of Professional Photography in Raleigh, NC in June 2002. Cope is the director of the PPO's School of Professional Photography, a PPA Affiliate School.
Cope serves on the local board for the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum in Oklahoma City and has given programs for them for the past several years. He is also a member of the International Association of Panoramic Photographers.
The Copes have been in professional photography for over 30 years and have been involved in changing technology and trends during that time. Dr. Cope has taught at affiliate schools and given programs at state and local events. He teaches landscape and nature workshops in various locations in the Southwest.
